Curzon Street, Mayfair

Working with low ceilings and small, deep-set windows were the primary lighting challenges in this Mayfair apartment.

To maximise the feeling of height within the space, the ceiling was reinstated hard against the roof joists, and raised sections were cut into the structure to provide an opportunity for washing the ceilings with light.

To balance the light levels on the walls surrounding the central courtyard, specially selected wall washer luminaires were specified to work with the shallow depth of the plasterboard ceiling whilst providing high output, even, seamless illumination to the vertical planes.
